OTHELLO

Othello
by William Shakespeare
directed by Joel Ferrell
featuring STT Artistic Director Alex Organ

July 15 – August 8, 2015

(press opening July 17)
at
Bryant Hall

Jealousy, love, betrayal, seduction. Shakespeare’s Othello resonates just as strongly today as it did when it was first penned and performed. Director Joel Ferrell returns to STT after 2013’s critically acclaimed Gruesome Playground Injuries to tackle this great classic. In true STT fashion, the production will focus on creative staging and dynamic acting in an intimate environment. One of the finest plays in the English cannon, Othello is about how fear and hatred poison the human heart and lead to great tragedy.
