Stage Manager and COVID Safety Officer

for Second Thought Theatre’s 2021 Production of 

SWEETPEA by Janielle Kastner

REHEARSAL: 10/18 – 11/12 (First week of rehearsal will be virtual)

TECH: 11/14

RUN: 11/17 – 12/11

Second Thought Theatre is currently planning to present this production in person live to a reduced audience capacity of 40%.  Actors and production staff will not be allowed to come in contact with the audience outside of the performance room.  Audience will be seated at a minimum of 10’ away and masks will be required for all patrons. 


A couple moves back in together. They fall apart.

Their pet birds move into separate cages. They fall in love.

Pecking, nesting, and mating ensue.


STAGE MANAGER – AEA contract available – (SPT-1) $321/week plus health and pension

COVID SAFETY OFFICER – MUST be present for all rehearsals and performances – Stipend starts at $1500 (negotiable)

NOTE:  All production members must be able to provide documentation of full vaccination of a US-government approved COVID19 vaccine regimen for COVID19, at the time of hire.

Please note that this play requires intimacy of the actors. This includes kissing, fondling of breasts, laying on top of one another, and simulated sexual acts. There is discussion of sexual assault in this play. An intimacy professional will be employed for this production. Nudity will not be required. Once the production members have been offered the role, they will be given the opportunity to read the script and discuss any hesitation and/or personal boundaries with the director before accepting the role.
